In 1871 Fogg visited the Singapore Botanic Garden, however this was not Phileas but William Perry Fogg, a real-life American adventurer and author and an inspiration for Phileas. Botanist Dr Mark Spencer outlines WP Fogg's journey and tells us more about the flora and natural environment of Singapore.
